District Appreciation Day

Dear Community Friends,

We want to make this year’s Gravette Public Schools District 20 Staff Appreciation the best yet!

This will be our 5th year and the Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce is committed to maintaining this tradition of recognizing our school district staff as they return for the new school year!  Friday, August 8th an “Appreciation Day” will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Gravette HS. Approximately 300 attendees (i.e., teachers, support staff, bus drivers, kitchen workers, custodians, office admins, principals, and district office staff) will be training the week of and preparing for the new school year.

We will be serving lunch to all school staff attendees thanks to the generosity of Ozark Community Hospital. This will be followed by a series of awards and announcements to recognize and honor some of the individuals in our school district for their special contributions and commitment to our children.

In addition to a number of special recognition awards, there will be some games, entertainment by the GHS Marching Band and cheerleaders, and lots and lots of door prizes.

This is where you can help!  Please let us know at gravettechamber@gmail.com, call or text 479-866-5552 if you are willing to provide a door prize of cash, gift card, merchandise, or other. Last year, we had over 60 area businesses provide one or more door prizes ranging from $25 - $1,000 for our school district staff! Door prizes will be collected at the Legacy National Bank in Gravette, and you can drop them off or I will be happy to come get. Please attach a business card to your door prize so that we and the recipient will be sure to know who it came from!

In conclusion, this Teacher Appreciation Day is a means for our community to “say thank you” to our dedicated school district staff. Every door prize and award contributor will be recognized during this event.

Thanks for your support!
Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce
